WHAT ARE THEY GONNA BUILD THERE------DID YOU 2 TAKE A CRUISE DOWN THERE RECENTLY?

No, I looked it up on Google Earth. They left the Royal Palms because they are SOOOOOO expensive. I really got teary eyed when I saw the photo. I'm going to look for a photo of the house and post it, too. I LOVED that house. At least no one can MOW DOWN my memories...so many memories. First 509 "mertenized" and then 274 MOWED DOWN...LOL....what next?

WOW!! They demo-ed yours too, huh?? Really weird to see an empty lot. Just wait till they erect one of those weird "Boca Houses" in its place! My mom got to walk thru the new 225 NE 3rd Court. She said it was very strange.....
Hey, I wonder if that tree we used to climb is still in the neighbors yard.. "Mrs Tott's Tree," or whatever her name was....

Her name was Mrs. Toth and it doesn't look like any trees were saved except our two Royal Palms and one small palm in the corner of our yard near the builder's sign. It is so funny that you commented. Jason and I were eating at Ruby Tuesday's tonight and somehow your name came up...he said, Ask Karen if she still HOPS. He thinks Malarie is adorable. He is NOT a blogger, but occasionally he is standing by when I am finishing up on something and he is waiting to use the computer. I guess we were talking about how nice our little neighborhood used to be and how it was a nice place to raise Robin, but how much different it is now and how glad we are that we are no longer there...PHEW...

great neighborhood to grow up in. boca was definitely an experience...you just had to be there to know!
the lots look so weird. imagine being joy, looking across the street and seeing that everyday. and the sand...can't believe how much sand there is. what happened to all the gravel in the swale?

They just scooped up all the gravel with all of the other stuff. I'm glad I saw the photo before I saw it in person. I will always be thankful that God provided just the right place for us to live...for that time...and now that He has provided in Tallahassee I shouldn't worry about an empty lot in Boca. Actually, I never liked the thought of someone living in my house, so it's better this way.

You may tell Jason that I do, indeed, still HOP! However, I hop for different reasons... for instance, I might have to go potty or maybe my beautiful, yet uncontrolable daughter might be headed toward a moving semi-truck. Those are now Hop-worthy occasions! :)
